Experimental Tabular Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Negaunee MI
415 AM EDT Mon May 19 2025

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.5 inch high pressure over Hudson Bay builds to 30.6
inches by mid morning as ridging over Lake Superior weakens to 30.2
inches this evening. A 29.4 inch low over the Mid-Mississippi Valley
on Tuesday pushes eastward through the day and into the Ohio
Valley/Lower Great Lakes by Wednesday morning; this in turn
decreases ridging over Lake Superior to 30.1 inches by Tuesday
night. This low then may extend a 30.0 inch trough over the lake on
Thursday before it shifts off into the Atlantic. By Friday, the now
30.5 inch high pressure over Hudson Bay brings 30.2 inch ridging
back over Lake Superior.
