Tropical Storm Milton Strengthening in the Gulf of Mexico; Dangerous Heat in the Southwest; Fire Danger in the Rockies into the Plains

A strong Pacific system is bringing strong winds and elevated to critical fire weather to portions of the Rockies across to the Plains and Upper Midwest. Also, the late season heat wave continues across portions of California into the Southwest.
