Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall may produce isolated flash flooding along the southeast Atlantic coast the next several days. Showers and thunderstorms persist across portions of the Great Basin, Pacific Northwest, and northern Rockies. Unseasonably hot temperatures continue for much of the Plains and Midwest. KMQT Radar Down for Transmitter Refurbishment Week of Sept 9-13, 2019:

This maintenance will replace the radar's signal processor, as well as replace older breakers and cables with more modern fuses and new cables.

This process is known as the Service Life Extension Program, or SLEP.
