Severe Thunderstorms and Possible Flooding in the East; Extreme Heat in the West.

Scattered severe storms with wind damage, large hail, and a few tornadoes will be possible this afternoon and evening across much of the Mid Atlantic and Southeast. A Heat Advisory is in effect from 11AM to 8 PM Friday for the Interior Bay Area and Central Coast. Take extra precautions when outside and do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles!
Dense Fog will impact the coastal areas and Monterey Bay through at least 10 AM. Fog will reduce visibilities to less than one half mile at times.
Widespread moderate HeatRisk continues for the interior North Bay Mts, East Bay Valleys, and interior Central Coast Saturday. Remember: It is NEVER safe to leave a child, disabled person, or pet locked in a car.
Dry and windy conditions will pose an elevated fire weather threat through Saturday. Ensure that you are always exercising fire weather safety, especially over this time period. Remember, only you can prevent wildfires.
