Above Average Temperatures in the West; Winter Weather Returns to the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes

Well above average temperatures will continue across the West this week, potentially breaking some daily high temperature records. A storm system dropping south out of Canada will bring a wintry mix to the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes Tuesday, pushing into the Central Appalachians and interior Northeast on Wednesday. After that, 3 or 4 tabs will open up below the map:

If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
