Weekend Showers and Thunderstorms Over the Southeast U.S.

A slow moving storm system over the northern Gulf Coast will continue periods of showers and thunderstorms over much of the Southeast U.S. through this weekend. The risk for heavy to excessive rainfall increases on Sunday as a surge of increased moisture moves over parts of northern Florida into southern Georgia. Read More >

A Heat Advisory will go into effect at 10AM this morning for the Southern Salinas Valley and run through 9PM Saturday. Beat the heat and check the backseat! Do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles.
Moderate HeatRisk will be present throughout the Interior Central Coast, Santa Clara Valley, and Interior East Bay Valleys through Saturday. Consider postponing or rescheduling outdoor activities, especially during the heat of the day. If you must be outside, be sure to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks in the shade. Stay in a cool place, especially during the heat of the day and evening.
