Winter Storm Wanes in the West; Critical Fire Weather in the High Plains; Severe Weather Threat in Central U.S.

The snow and high winds along the Sierra Nevada and the Intermountain West is gradually waning. The threat of wildfires persist in the High Plains. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible in portions of the Southern Great Plains into the Lower/Mid-Mississippi Valley on Monday, in addition to locally heavy rain in the central Gulf Coast.
