Long School in Portland, OR have done just that! Check out these 'weather slaps' written, performed and produced by two students at the school.

With these performances, they hope that they can help prepare their communities for weather related emergencies.

The Donald E. Long School is a justice involved school within the Multnomah Education Service District (MESD). MESD is an educational cooperative that provides a wide variety of programs and services on a regional basis to school districts in Multnomah County and beyond. Donald E. Long school is not only a WRN Ambassador, but also is a CoCoRaHs reporter. The students submit temperature and precipitation data daily to the NWS.

We are so incredibly proud of these students and thank them for their hard work to promote the mission of the National Weather Service.
