Francine Expected to Produce Multiple Hazards Along the Gulf Coast

Tropical storm Francine in the western Gulf of Mexico continues to strengthen and track northward. Heavy to excessive rainfall and flooding, life-threatening storm surge and strong winds are expected along the Texas and Louisiana coasts Tuesday through the middle of the week with landfall likely along the Louisiana coast on Wednesday. After that, 3 or 4 tabs will open up below the map:

If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
