Widespread showers and thunderstorms, some severe, may produce heavy downpours and flash flooding across much of the eastern and central U.S. Dangerous heat will continue in the Pacific Northwest and expand across portions of the East. 🥵 Heat Advisory continues through 9 AM Wednesday morning for West Central NV and Mineral/southern Lyon County. For the remainder of western NV, including the Reno-Carson-Minden area, and northeast CA, the Heat Advisory continues through 9 AM Tuesday morning, ending sooner as high temperatures Tuesday are expected to remain below 100 degrees--down about 5 degrees compared to today.
