Active spring pattern across the center of our nation with several episodes of severe weather and heavy rainfall expected into next week. The potential for very large hail, long track tornadoes, severe wind gusts, frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes and flash flooding are in the outlook. [May 16th] 🔹Abundant moisture from the east and an approaching upper-level trough from the west will heighten the risk of flooding across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, especially this afternoon and Saturday. 🔹Limiting factors could be approaching Saharan Dust from the east and early morning cloud cover.
