Wind Damage North of Douglas, AZ July 19, 2022

National Weather Service Tucson Meteorologists, in conjunction with Cochise County Office of Emergency Services, surveyed storm damage following the passage of severe thunderstorms that occurred in the Douglas, AZ area Tuesday evening, July 19, 2022. The survey revealed a broad area of sporadic straight-line wind damage north of Douglas. Within this area was a smaller area of more intense wind damage to structures which was the result of a microburst with wind gusts as strong as 80 mph.
