Tonight into Saturday morning we expect a cold front to move across the Panhandles and trigger scattered thunderstorms across the Panhandles. The main concern with the storms will be strong damaging wind and large hail. One thing to watch will be the potential for isolated thunderstorms this afternoon or evening.

Currently, best chances for showers and thunderstorms still look to follow with the cold front moving in from the north late tonight into early Saturday morning. However, there is potential present for a couple of isolated thunderstorm to develop across the area this evening.

Rain chances will continue into Saturday across the region. The southern Texas Panhandle is favored for having showers and storms on Saturday. The higher chances will hold off until Saturday evening into the overnight hours. The southeastern Texas Panhandle has around a 40 to 60% chance at receiving a quarter inch of rain from this system.
