Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall Across the Central Plains and Central Appalachians

Severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds, heavy rainfall, hail and possibly a few tornadoes will continue through tonight across portions of Kansas and Oklahoma. Heavy rainfall will persist across the Central Appalachians through tonight, potentially leading to areas of flooding. There is the potential for severe storms over portions of mostly Southwest and Central MT on Thursday. Some storms could produce strong wind gusts or hail. Have a plan should a storm move into your area.
Severe thunderstorms could be a bit more widespread on Friday, with the potential covering much of North Central and Southwest MT. The storms could last longer into the night as well. Have a plan should a storm approach your area.
There is the potential for heavy rainfall Friday and Saturday over the northern portions of North Central MT. The heavy rainfall could result in some flash flooding. Have a plan to go to higher ground should flooding develop.
It is looking more likely for it to be a wet and cool weekend this upcoming weekend. There is even the potential for snow for elevations above 5500 feet, with accumulating snow looking likely in Glacier National Park. Plan ahead for the potential cool and wet conditions.
