Dangerous, prolonged heat is ongoing in the Mid-South to Mid-Mississippi Valley and heat expands into the Northeast for a brief period today. NWS Amarillo offers a winter weather SKYWARN spotter training class during the months of November and December(sometimes in January if needed). These classes are different than the spring severe weather SKYWARN classes and are also hosted virtually(no in person classes, unless requested).
