
Dangerous, record-breaking heat will continue across most of the central and eastern U.S through Friday then focusing on the eastern U.S. through the Independence Day weekend. Peak heat indices of up to 115 degrees are possible. NWS Amarillo offers a winter weather SKYWARN spotter training class during the months of November and December(sometimes in January if needed). These classes are different than the spring severe weather SKYWARN classes and are also hosted virtually(no in person classes, unless requested).
