A significant and dangerous heat wave will expand from the Central U.S. into the Eastern U.S and linger through much of the work week. Numerous daily record highs and warm lows are likely. NWS Amarillo offers a winter weather SKYWARN spotter training class during the months of November and December(sometimes in January if needed). These classes are different than the spring severe weather SKYWARN classes and are also hosted virtually(no in person classes, unless requested).
