Heavy Rainfall Across South Texas; Heat in the West

Excessive rainfall may produce locally considerable flash flooding over parts of South Texas, the western Gulf Coast, and Lower Mississippi River Valley through Thursday. Hot temperatures will persist over central and northern California and the Pacific Northwest through today. Read More >

The Beach Hazards Statement for Pacific Coast beaches has been extended through Thursday morning. Long-period S-SW swell will generate hazardous conditions at the beach, including sneaker waves and strong rip currents. Stay back from the water’s edge, stay off of jetties and piers, and NEVER turn your back on the ocean.
The Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect for the San Francisco Bay through Thursday morning and Pacific Coast through Wednesday morning. Expect a maximum inundation of 1.8 ft during high tide. Do not drive around barricades or through water! #CAwx
