NWS Meteorologists surveyed damage in northeast Fayette County and far southwest Walker County and determined it was the result of a tornado.

The tornado touched down in a wooded area between Victor Road and County Road 44 in northeast Fayette County. It traveled north-northeast and paralleled Hwy 13 as it crossed into extreme southwest Walker County. The tornado lifted just east of Hwy 13. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted along the path. There was no structural damage observed.
