A National Weather Service Damage Assessment Team has surveyed the storm damage in Tuscaloosa County. It has been determined the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated an EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds around 90 mph.

A tornado touched down along County Road 21 on the western side of Lake Arnedra. The tornado lifted on the eastern shore of the lake, where two large hardwood trees were knocked onto houses causing major damage to one of the homes and making it uninhabitable. Another hardwood was toppled on the western shore of the lake. A special thanks to the Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency for help collecting the assessment information.
