Severe Weather Threatens the Southern U.S. on Monday and Tuesday

There is an Enhanced Risk of severe weather for the Tennessee River Valley today, with the potential for strong tornadoes, very large hail and damaging winds. The Enhanced Risk continues on Tuesday, this time for northern Florida and coastal Georgia and South Carolina, where a corridor of severe winds, and perhaps a couple tornadoes, will be possible. The Tsunami Exercise Caribe Wave 18 will have three scenarios: Barbados, Colombia and Puerto Rico. All scenarios will start, with one dummy message, at 1400 UTC (time of the earthquake) and the 1st message for each of the three scenarios will be 5 minutes later (1405 UTC).

It is important to remark that each Member State will selects one scenario and that PTWC only will send simulated products for the selected scenario to the primary TWFP and NTWC of that Member State.
