Winter Outlook 2017-18

The outlook for Winter 2017-18 has been released. Overall, colder than average temperatures and slightly wetter (more snow) conditions are expected. Those areas with drought (western Dakotas) are expected to remain nearly the same over the winter. Read More >

Overview

A severe storm started in Canada and built south into a very unstable airmass during the afternoon and evening hours of July 19th. This storm produced very large hail and significant wind damage, along with three brief tornadoes. Additionally, heavy rainfall during the event produced areas of street flooding.
