Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall in the Southern Plains; Heat Continues in the West

Strong to severe thunderstorms may bring areas of excessive rainfall and flooding over parts of the southern Plains today through Friday. Hot to dangerously hot temperatures are forecast across portions of the Pacific Northwest and southern Great Basin today. The NWS Green Bay radar (KGRB) is out of service.

The WSR-88D at Green Bay will be down until Tuesday, October 27 until parts arrive and technicians can make the necessary repairs. Alternate radar sites are located in Marquette, Milwaukee, La Crosse, Minneapolis and Duluth. We apologize for any inconvenience.
