Sugarloaf NOAA Weather Radio Temporarily Off the Air

During a winter wind storm the tower on Sugarloaf Mountain that hosts the NOAA Weather Radio antenna was damaged. As a result the Sugarloaf Mountain NOAA Weather Radio broadcast will be temporarily off the air as repairs to the tower are made. At this time we are uncertain as to how long the repairs will take.  Users should monitor the Mount Washington NOAA Weather Radio broadcast on a frequency of 162.500 MHz for Franklin and Somerset Counties or visit the National Weather Service's web site: www.weather.gov/gray for the latest weather information.  When the repairs are completed broadcasts originating from the Sugarloaf Mountain NOAA Weather Radio tower will resume as normal.  We apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause.
