Heavy Great Lakes Snow through Friday; Extreme Cold and Potential for Major Winter Storm Late Week into this Weekend

Multiple clipper systems will bring cold temperatures and enhance lake-effect snow downwind of the Great Lakes. An arctic blast will bring frigid temperatures accompanied with gusty winds that may lead to dangerous wind chills beginning in the Northern Plains Thursday before expanding to the South and East. ...A WEAK TORNADO PRODUCED DAMAGE IN CIRCLEVILLE...

A WEAK TORNADO MOVED THROUGH SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF CIRCLEVILLE AROUND
455 PM EDT SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE PICKAWAY COUNTY EMA DIRECTOR
REPORTED AN INTERMITTENT DAMAGE PATH OF ABOUT A HALF MILE WITH A
WIDTH OF 75 TO 100 YARDS.

A RESTAURANT ROOF SUSTAINED SOME MINOR DAMAGE AND A HOME TRAILER WAS
PUSHED OFF OF ITS FOUNDATION. THE REST OF THE DAMAGE MAINLY CONSISTED
OF DOWNED TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES.

THE TORNADO WAS RATED AN F0 ON THE FUJITA SCALE WHICH IS ASSOCIATED
WITH WINDS OF 40 TO 72 MPH.
