Straight-Line Winds Confirmed in Clark County, OH

700 PM EDT WED JUL 12 2006

...DAMAGE SURVEY CONDUCTED IN CLARK COUNTY TODAY...

A DAMAGE SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED IN CLARK COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON. THE
DAMAGE OCCURRED FROM A STORM THAT MOVED THROUGH NORTHEAST CLARK
COUNTY TUESDAY EVENING AT AROUND 800 PM TO 815 PM. TWO LOCATIONS WERE
SURVEYED. BOTH OF THE LOCATIONS WERE SOUTHEAST OF CATAWBA IN PLEASANT
TOWNSHIP. DAMAGE OCCURRED TO A MOBILE HOME AT ONE LOCATION AND A POLE
BARN AT ANOTHER LOCATION. THE SURVEY SUGGESTED THAT STRAIGHT LINE
WINDS OF AROUND 70 MPH CAUSED THE DAMAGE.
