A DAMAGE SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED IN PICKAWAY COUNTY EARLIER TODAY AND
AN F0 TORNADO WAS CONFIRMED. THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN A LITTLE OVER
A MILE NORTH OF KINGSTON...OR ABOUT SIX MILES SOUTH OF
CIRCLEVILLE...BETWEEN 620 AND 625 PM EDT MONDAY EVENING...AUGUST
28TH. THE PATH LENGTH EXTENDED TO THE NORTHEAST FOR ABOUT 1.5 TO 2
MILES AND THE GREATEST WIDTH WAS AROUND 50 YARDS.

DAMAGE FIRST OCCURRED AT THE PICKAWAY MACHINE AND FABRICATING
COMPANY ALONG STATE ROUTE 361. THREE BUILDINGS SUSTAINED
DAMAGE...WITH PIECES OF THE ALUMINUM ROOFING AND SOME OF THE WOODEN
ROOF TRUSSES PEELED OFF AND STREWN THROUGHOUT THE COMPLEX. PIECES
OF INSULATION WERE REMOVED FROM THE ROOF OF THE MAIN BUILDING AND
WERE DEPOSITED AT VARIOUS POINTS ALONG THE TORNADO TRACK TO THE

MAJOR DAMAGE. THE CORN STALKS WERE DOWNED OR BROKEN OFF IN A

AIR FOUND WITH TORNADOES. PIECES OF INSULATION AND ALUMINUM FROM
THE BUILDING WAS FOUND AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE
CORNFIELD. THIS SWATH OF DAMAGE TO THE CORN CROP EXTENDED ACROSS THE
FIELD TO BOGGS ROAD...A DISTANCE OF ABOUT A MILE. ON THE OTHER SIDE
OF BOGGS ROAD...A PORTION OF AN OPEN AIR ALUMINUM SHED WAS BLOWN
INTO A NEARBY TREE LINE. SEVERAL LARGE LIMBS WERE BROKEN OFF IN THE
