THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON OH HAS CONFIRMED A
TORNADO NEAR KINGSTON IN ROSS COUNTY OHIO ON AUGUST 20TH 2009.

BASED UPON INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM EYEWITNESSES...IT WAS
DETERMINED THAT A BRIEF AND WEAK TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ALONG DRY
RUN ROAD ABOUT ONE MILE SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF KINGSTON...AND ABOUT
ONE MILE NORTH OF STATE ROUTE 180. THE TORNADO ENTERED A CORN
FIELD AND TRAVELED A SHORT DISTANCE BEFORE LIFTING.

WHILE MINOR CROP DAMAGE OCCURRED TO THE CORN FIELD ADJACENT TO DRY
RUN ROAD...THERE WAS NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO REPORT.
