Major Winter Storm to Bring Heavy Snow and Ice Impacts; Dangerously Cold in the North-Central U.S.

A large, long-duration winter storm is expected to bring widespread heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain from the Southern Rockies/Plains into the Mid-South beginning Friday, spreading eastward to the Mid-Atlantic and New England this weekend. Severe Weather, Tornadoes, and Flooding

During the early morning hours on March 6, a line of severe storms progressed into west-central Ohio, producing several reports of wind damage and two tornadoes in Darke County, OH, one of which tracked into far western Shelby County, OH. Another round of storms progressed into the area about 24 hours later into early on the 7th, producing instances of heavy rain and flooding and several reports of wind damage as well.
