Thunderstorms and Heavy Rains Across Portions of the Central and Eastern US; Heat Expands to Portions of the East and West

Widespread showers and thunderstorms, some severe, may produce heavy downpours and flash flooding across much of the eastern and central U.S. Dangerous heat will continue in the Pacific Northwest and expand across portions of the East. Severe Weather, Tornadoes, and Flooding

During the early morning hours on March 6, a line of severe storms progressed into west-central Ohio, producing several reports of wind damage and two tornadoes in Darke County, OH, one of which tracked into far western Shelby County, OH. Another round of storms progressed into the area about 24 hours later into early on the 7th, producing instances of heavy rain and flooding and several reports of wind damage as well.
