The National Weather Service in Wilmington Ohio has confirmed an EF0 tornado across central Miami County, Ohio, affecting the northern sections of Troy. The tornado first touched down near Pemberton Road, causing significant barn damage, and also to a garage on Penny Road. The tornado continued east-northeast, moving through the commercial area on State Route 41, and then causing roof damage to several homes on the north side of Troy. Consistent damage continued to be observed as far east as Deweese Road. Reports and photo evidence from numerous citizens in the area, in addition to emergency management officials, helped determine the extent of this tornado. The National Weather Service would like to thank the Miami County Emergency Management Agency for their assistance with this survey.
