The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado during the
evening of May 4, 2024 southwest of Rockford in Mercer County,
Ohio.

A weak landspout tornado was observed moving north in a field
east of Burrville Road in northwestern Mercer County, Ohio. This
tornado caused no known damage, so it is being rated EF-Unknown,
as an official EF-scale designation cannot be assigned.

The National Weather Service would like to thank the Mercer 
County Emergency Management Agency for their assistance with this
tornado confirmation.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:
