Tropical Moisture Will Bring Heavy to Excessive Rainfall with Possible Flooding This Week

Tropical moisture from the remnants of Odalys and Hurricane Polo will surge over the southwest into the central U.S. this week with several days of heavy to excessive rainfall which may bring limited to considerable flooding. Large Hail Event

A narrow corridor of elevated storms developed and tracked east near and north of the I-70 corridor during the evening hours of Sunday, March 22. With plenty of instability and steep lapse rates in the midlevels of the atmosphere, numerous storms produced severe hail, with several reports of hail with diameter in excess of 1.5 inches. More than two dozen reports of severe hail were received from this activity.
