Large Hail Event A narrow corridor of elevated storms developed and tracked east near and north of the I-70 corridor during the evening hours of Sunday, March 22. With plenty of instability and steep lapse rates in the midlevels of the atmosphere, numerous storms produced severe hail, with several reports of hail with diameter in excess of 1.5 inches. More than two dozen reports of severe hail were received from this activity. |
