Straight Line Wind Damage in Mercer County, Ohio

...NWS Damage Survey confirms straight line winds on June 11, 
2026 in Mercer County, Ohio...

The National Weather Service Survey Team, along with Mercer County
Emergency Management, surveyed damage near Oregon Road and U.S. 
33 near Neptune. Damage along this area was indicative of straight
line winds from 60 to 70 MPH, causing roof damage to barns and 
outbuildings. 

The survey team also viewed a separate swath of storm damage in 
Celina, which was also indicative of straight line winds. Damage 
began near South Main Street and continued to Havemann road just 
east of Grand Lake Road. Several buildings had damage indicative 
of 70 to 80 MPH winds. The estimated wind speeds topped out as
high as near 90 MPH near the intersection of Havemann Road and 
Grand Lake Road. 

Damage in these locations occurred between 1130 PM and 1140 PM on
Thursday, June 11.
