The nor’easter will weaken tonight, easing beach conditions and coastal flooding, though locally heavy rain will continue in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and New England into Monday. Hurricane Nolo continues to bring strong winds and large waves to Hawaii, though heavy rain and flooding threats are diminishing as it moves away. EF0 tornado confirmed north of Springfield in Clark County OH. Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 80 mph Path Length /statute/: 4.5 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 08/11/2026 Start Time: 9:24 AM EDT Start Location: 2 ENE Tremont City / Clark County / OH Start Lat/Lon: 40.0230 / -83.7961 End Date: 08/11/2026 End Time: 9:30 AM EDT End Location: 5 WSW Catawba / Clark County / OH End Lat/Lon: 39.9877 / -83.7276 Survey Summary: The National Weather Service in Wilmington Ohio has confirmed an EF0 tornado north of Springfield in Clark County, Ohio. This tornado was first observed at a large manufacturing and trucking facility on Urbana Road. Video evidence shows a tornado moving through a parking lot, and a semi trailer was flipped. As this tornado moved east-southeast, additional tree damage was observed on Willow Road, and in several locations north and south of Moorefield Road. Several snapped trees were observed just east of Mechanicsburg Road, which is the last known damage from this tornado. The magnitude of the tree damage supports an estimated maximum wind speed of 80 MPH. Sporadic tree and barn damage was observed elsewhere in this area, including on E County Line Road and N Plateau Drive. Damage at these locations was determined to be from straight-line winds of up to 70 MPH.
