Survey Summary:
The National Weather Service is Wilmington Ohio has confirmed an
EF1 tornado in Olde Towne East, east of Downtown Columbus, in
Franklin County Ohio.
Minor tree damage and building damage occurred on Oak Street near
South 18th Street. Additional damage was observed between Fair
Avenue and Oak Street as the tornado moved east. The most intense
damage occurred between South Ohio Avenue and South Champion
Avenue where multiple structures were damaged. One brick apartment
building lost the roof and wall structure of the top floor on the
west side. As the tornado continued east along Fair Avenue, light
damage to structures continued, but most of the damage involved
trees. The tornado then caused widespread tree damage along
Franklin Park South before gradually weakening before South Nelson
Road. Additional sporadic damage to the east was likely caused by
straight line wind damage.

assistance with the survey and damage assessment.
