Survey Summary:
The National Weather Service in Wilmington Ohio has confirmed an
EF0 tornado southeast of Plain City in Madison County, Ohio.
This brief tornado began near Plain City Georgesville Road
Northeast, causing damage to trees and crops. Drone footage
revealed damage to trees along Big Darby Creek as the tornado
continued moving southeast. Damage then occurred to outbuildings
along Amity Pike. Drone and satellite images captured additional
signs of convergence in nearby fields north of Amity Pike. Based
on the lack of additional crop damage south of Amity Pike, the
tornado dissipated quickly. Any damage in the nearby surrounding
areas was likely caused by straight line winds.
