Survey Summary:
The National Weather Service in Wilmington Ohio has confirmed an
EF-1 tornado southeast of Urbana in Champaign County Ohio.

Tornado damage was first noticed along a residence on Pisgah 
Road. The home had a portion of the roof lifted off along with 
siding damage. It was noticed that mud and debris were splattered 
on multiple sides of the house. A nearby barn was also destroyed. 
The tornado continued southeast, producing damage at a residence 
on Hurst Road, where a large section of the roof was removed. 
Winds producing the damage to this home were estimated to be up to
110 mph. Tree damage was also observed on the property.

The last known tornadic damage occurred just southeast, in the 
area of Catawba Station. On OH-54, or Virts Road, large tree 
branches were knocked down.

Other storm damage in Champaign County, including the Urbana 
area, was determined to be a result of straight-line winds.

storm damage survey.
