Although there are some uncertainties regarding severe potential with eastward extent tonight into the predawn hours Monday, some strong/severe storms may be possible, particularly near/west of the I-75 corridor. Gusty winds are expected regardless of storms.
Windy conditions are expected again through tonight, with non-storm-related gusts between 40-60 mph, particularly near/west of I-71 and I-75. The winds may briefly decrease around sunset for several hours before increasing once again in the hour or two ahead of the squall line. Winds should subside once again after the passage of the cold front.
Very cold air will filter into the region late tonight, with highs in the 20s and 30s and lows in the teens for both Monday and Tuesday nights. Sensitive vegetation may be impacted.
Scattered snow showers are expected during the daytime Monday, with wet roads expected through sunset. However, if snow showers persist after dark, falling air and road temperatures may allow for isolated slick spots to develop. Minor accumulations are favored primarily on grassy/elevated surfaces.
