A storm system will bring a shot of rain and mountain snow to the area tonight into tomorrow morning. This will likely lead to icy and snow covered roads at elevations above 5,500 ft-6,000 ft. At lower elevations rain slick roads will result in a slower commute, especially Friday morning.
Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded and are now issued for both Inyo County’s eastern Sierra Slopes and White Mountains as well as Clark County’s Sheep Range and Spring Mountains for today into Friday morning. Accumulating snow will result in slick roads and difficult travel can be very difficult due to icy and snow-packed roads.
