Gales and Steep Seas across the northern and outer coastal waters from this afternoon through early Sunday. For the waters south of Point Sal to San Nicolas Island, peak northwest wind gusts between 30 and 40 knots are expected from this Afternoon through early Sunday with steep seas between 8 and 12 feet. For the waters from Point Piedras Blancas to Point Sal, peak northwest wind gusts between 25 and 35 knots are expected Saturday afternoon and evening along with steep seas between 7 and 11 feet. Strong winds and steep seas can capsize small vessels. Mariners, especially those with little to no experience, should consider remaining in port or seeking safe harbor.
