Light Snow Event of Sunday March 12, 2017

 

An area of low pressure moved well south of eastern North Carolina as a dome of cold Canadian high pressure moved southeast into the eastern Carolinas. This combination led to a light snow event over southern portions of eastern North Carolina during the morning hours of Sunday March 12, 2017.
