The snow will cause slippery roads and reduced visibilities this morning. Those driving this morning across the area should be prepared for these conditions, and exercise caution.

Windy Conditions And Cold Temperatures Today:

A tight pressure gradient will develop across the area this morning, as a low pressure system passes east southeastward through the region. This will cause strong northwest winds to develop this morning, and linger into the afternoon.

As a result, a Wind Advisory is in effect for most of southern Wisconsin, as well as points southward. A Gale Warning is also in effect for the nearshore and open waters of Lake Michigan.

Cold temperatures are expected across the area today, with the strong northwest winds and cloudy skies. Highs today are expected to remain in the middle to upper 30s. Normal highs for this time of year are in the upper 40s to around 50. The combination of the cold temperatures and strong northwest winds will make for a raw day across the area. Bundle up if heading outside!
