Widespread Showers in the Eastern US; Severe Thunderstorms in the Plains; Heatwave in the Desert Southwest

Widespread showers and thunderstorms across much of the central and eastern U.S. will produce areas of excessive rainfall, especially in the southern Mid-Atlantic states. Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected from Montana into portions of the central/southern Plains this weekend. The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, Wisconsin sent a damage survey team out to three locations in far southeast Wisconsin today, Tuesday, August 11.

1) Lake Geneva area in Walworth County - Tornado rated EF-0.

2) Camp Lake area in Kenosha County

3) Areas north of Union Grove in Racine County
