Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum.   Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 30.2 inches currently centered over Lake Michigan
will gradually shift to the southeast tonight. Light and variable
winds will build from the south to southwest Thursday with gusts
around 30 knots expected over the northern half of the lake
Thursday afternoon/evening. Thunderstorms will be possible
Thursday evening and overnight with the potential for a few strong
to severe storms with strong winds and maybe some large hail.
The best potential will be over central and southern portions of
the lake. Storms will clear with the low pressure of 29.8 inches
shifting east of the area Friday Southwest winds Friday will
become northwest Friday night, as a cold front moves through the
region. Weak high pressure of 29.9 inches should then bring
lighter winds for Saturday.
