Experimental Tabular Open Lake Forecast FOR Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
206 PM CST Mon Nov 23 2020

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum.   Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure of 29.9 inches in the vicinity of Lake Erie will
deepen to 29.7 inches as it lifts into Quebec today. Behind the
departing surface low, brief ridging of 30.4 inches will move
across the Western Great Lakes.

On Tuesday, high pressure shifts over the eastern Great Lakes as
low pressure slowly begins to lift northeast towards the Midwest,
from the central Plains. This will enhance the surface pressure
gradient Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing a period of gusty
southeast to south winds. As the low pressure system lifts
northeast across southern Lake Michigan on Wednesday, it is
expected to weaken to 29.7 inches. By Thursday, the low weakens
further over Lake Huron and a cold front extending well south from
low pressure up near the Hudson Bay moves over the lake Thursday
night into Friday.
