Thunderstorms are likely at times today into tonight. There is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms today.  An isolated severe storm is possible this morning. There is a better chance for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats for today and this evening, however a tornado can not be ruled out.

Another very warm and humid day is expected.  High temperatures will be in the mid 80s to around 90 most areas with heat indices in the 90 to 95 range. It will be cooler close to Lake Michigan due to south to southeast winds.

  • Stay Cool: Stay in air-conditioned buildings as much as possible and avoid direct sunlight.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water and don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink
  • Stay Informed: Watch your local weather forecasts so you can plan activities safely when it’s hot outside. Watch for any extreme heat alerts.
