Heavy Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorm Threats for the Plains and Southeast

A frontal boundary extending from the western High Plains to the Southeast will focus additional showers and thunderstorms this weekend. Some of these storms may become severe, alongside frequent lightning, and isolated instances of flash flooding. Overview:

A line of thunderstorms moved eastward across southeast Wisconsin during the late morning and early afternoon hours on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. This line of storms produced 7 EF-0 rated tornadoes, along with multiple areas of straight line wind damage.
