Threats For Heavy Rain and Severe Thunderstorms Continue in the Plains; Fire Weather Conditions Worsen in the Southwest

Here is a map of rainfall amounts across Wisconsin from Thursday into early Friday morning:

Statewide rainfall amounts from Thursday and early Friday showers and thunderstorms

Rainfall amounts generally ranged from 2 to 4 inches across south central and southeast Wisconsin. The heaviest rainfall was located along an axis from northern Dane County southeast through Jefferson, Walworth and Kenosha Counties. Another area was located over northern Green County into far southwestern Dane County, where 2 to 4 inches was observed.


The maps below show the two day rainfall total across Wisconsin and the Milwaukee/Sullivan forecast area. The Jefferson area received the highest precipitation total, receiving 5.50 inches of rain since Thursday!
