Excessive Rainfall and Significant Flooding in the Upper Midwest This Weekend

Heavy to excessive rainfall is expected over the weekend across eastern Iowa, northern Missouri, northwest Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Overview

A line of thunderstorms moved across southern WI during the early morning hours of April 20. The Sheboygan area got some 1 inch hail. A swath of 50-60 mph winds moved across southern Waukesha county, eastern Walworth County, southern Milwaukee County and into Racine County. Many trees were snapped and uprooted. The hardest hit area was eastern Racine County where winds were about 60-70 mph.
