Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of large to very large hail, damaging winds with potentially significant gusts, and perhaps a couple of tornadoes are expected Friday afternoon into night across portions of the central Plains into upper Great Lakes. The NOAA All Hazards Radio Stations at Milwaukee (KEC-60, 162.400 MHz), Madison (WXJ-87, 162.550 MHz) and Janesville (WWG-90, 162.425 MHz) are temporarily off the air. Technicians have been notified, and a return to service is unknown at this time.
