Lake-effect Snow and Whiteout Conditions in the Great Lakes Region; Below-average Temperatures in the East

Heavy lake-effect and lake-enhanced snow will persist downwind of the Great Lakes and produce some whiteout conditions that could cause difficult travel conditions. A coastal low will produce moderate to heavy snow over parts of southern and eastern New England into the afternoon. Overview

A trough of low pressure crossed southern and central Wisconsin during the afternoon hours on Thursday, June 7, 2016. This feature interacted with a warm, moist and unstable airmass to produce some thunderstorms. A few of these storms produced wind damage across portions of Fond du Lac and Sheboygan Counties. The city of Waupun saw several trees down, some on homes.
