Heat and Severe Thunderstorms in the Eastern U.S.

A widespread heat wave will peak over the South and East today, with several dozen temperature records expected along the East Coast. Heat should begin to ease this weekend in the Northeast, while hazardous heat continues over the South. Overview

A line of storms moved through east central to southeast Wisconsin on the evening of August 7th, 2019. Damaging winds occurred in two main areas: Berlin to Ripon and Elkhorn to Twin Lakes. Some large hail fell in the Berlin area as well.
