Gusty Winds in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast; Atmospheric River to Impact the Northwest

Gusty winds are expected from portions of the Mid-Atlantic into the Northeast through the night following the system that brought rain to the area. An atmospheric river will move into the Northwest late today into Saturday bringing moderate to heavy rainfall, mountain snow, windy conditions, and high surf to the area over the weekend. One half to two and a half inches of snow fell across southern Wisconsin in the overnight and early morning hours between December 8th and 9th. The highest amounts were centered around Dodge county.

 

The snow in southern Wisconsin began in the late afternoon on Friday and persisted off and on into the morning on Saturday. Snow was the heaviest in the early morning hours.
